This cute little guy was discovered in Madagascar in 2004 but was only recently identified as a new species of carnivore by the Natural History Museum in London. This cat-sized predator is called the Durrell’s vontsira, and it’s the first new carnivore that’s been found and cataloged in 24 years. The bad news is that its habitat is threatened, so it likely won’t be around for too many more years. If only it were a cuter animal that could be smuggled across borders in tubes and sold as pets, then it might survive a bit longer.

I wouldn't worry too much about these new carnivores becoming extinct in the next few years. Because I have too much money to spend on things I don't need (like endangered species), I bought one for HQ. He smells like pee. And responds to "gooood guuurrrrrl"
