As much as I love to drink Rainier, the fact that its owned by Pabst (Greek ownership) and brewed by a South african company makes me think twice about sporting free advertising on their behalf. AMERICA

i think that's true about alot of bigger beer companies. i found out Sapporo isn't brewed in Japan. it's brewed in Canada! But that doesn't stop me from getting my drink on! i bet brewing in South Africa has something to do with how cheap it is.

thats true. a lot of the beers that used to be independent are now owned by mega corporations (like Stella and Modelo are owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev).

but there's plenty of domestic brewers that are still owned "by the people", like Full Sale and Sam Adams. I'd rather sport some free advertising for those guys... Pabst and the like can afford to pay for their ads.

plus, beers from regional brewers don't require so much foreign petroleum to get into my fridge (less shipping mileage)!
